The Fortifications Agency is a government authority, and our mission is to ensure that there are safe properties and roads to protect Sweden in the event of a crisis or war. Our tenants are the Armed Forces and various state and defense-related authorities. Your daily life as a property technician at a garrison

The position is located in the Skövde operational district. We belong to the western region, which also includes Karlsborg and Såtenäs.

We are now looking for property technicians for Skövde garrison who want to work at one of Sweden's most exciting workplaces and at the same time contribute to a robust society and a safer world. Currently, we have eight operational technicians, three property technicians, and one operations manager working together.

Our mission is operation and parts of the corrective maintenance of our portfolio. This means performing inspections and maintenance as well as corrective maintenance of roads and areas and park environments at Skövde training and shooting fields and Skövde Garrison. Daily customer and supplier contacts. The operational district delivers operations to the management, which mainly means a high degree of responsibility to meet customers' needs for reliable and functional roads and areas in training and shooting fields.

As a property technician, you will work to maintain a good standard for our external environment. The position is focused on park environments, which is a varied job that includes planting and maintenance of spring, summer, and autumn plantings, such as pruning, weed control, brush clearing, grass trimming, and snow removal. On-call duty is included in the position during snow removal and larger exercises. We welcome both female and male applicants for the position.

What do you offer us?

We are looking for someone with a high school education as a gardener or other education that we deem suitable. You may also have work experience that we consider equivalent. We want you to have worked in green space maintenance and with the machines needed to maintain a good standard in the external environment. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

You have good knowledge of administrative support systems and Office programs. Swedish citizenship is a requirement.

It is advantageous to have a driver's license for a wheel loader and to have a brush cutter or chainsaw certificate class A-B. If you have worked as a gardener, that is to your advantage. We view it positively if you are familiar with goods handling.

Your personal qualities are very important to us, and we will place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who is safety-conscious and good at collaborating. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create and maintain good relationships with tenants and contractors, and you are someone who likes to think outside the box and solve problems.
